Vinification: Blend of Riesling, Muscat and Gewurztraminer made directly in the vineyard to obtain greater depth in the wine. Slow pressing, cold settling and not chaptalized. Natural, alcoholic and malolactic fermentation. Aged for 24 months on fine lees in century-old oak barrels in our bioclimatic cellar, made of pink sandstone from the Vosges and Douglas fir from our valleys.

The Kaefferkopf terroir was revealed in 1338 by a citation in the land registry of Pairis Abbey in Ammerschwihr. We also note its presence in several works and theses during the 19th and 20th centuries. It was from 1931 that the vineyard owners of the commune of Ammerschwihr accessed the "Kaefferkopf" appellation of origin. Since then, all the winegrowers have committed to respecting the terroir, the winemaking tradition and the quality of the wines. This authenticity was rewarded by the classification of Kaefferkopf as a Grand Cru in 2007. The 51st star in the sky of the Grands Crus of Alsace, Kaefferkopf prioritizes its quality, its history and its difference.
